Hey guys!

I got my mini brooch in the mail yesterday from GEanimation. I ordered it from eBay. Click the image to view larger.

Muscara - Review

Muscara is a online toy store located in Messina, Italy. Selling since 1995, they have a good standing reputation in selling anime goods worldwide. I've ordered over 5 packages from Muscara, and have become accustomed to their procedures and policies, and would like to share my experience with them to you. 

1.Ordering
When you are ready to check out, remember that this is being shipped from Italy so shipping may not be cheap. The site automatically selects "Express Courier" as the method of shipping, which also is the most expensive. Be sure and select "Registered Mail" for the cheapest, yet still reliable way. I'm only stating this in my review, as one person I've talked with decided against ordering from Muscara because shipping was over $40, when they didn't notice the other option. 

2. Contact/Communication
I'm sure they are sick of me asking questions by now! Just kidding, but I have asked them at least 10 questions throughout my orders. And Muscara treats everyone with respect and replies to every one in a timely manner(usually same day if you ask early in the day!) I am very pleased with their communication. 

3. Shipping/arrival 
Muscara will send you a separate e-mail after your item(s) have shipped. And most the time they ship the next day. Shipping is very slow. But that's expected, since they are located in Italy, and I'm in the USA. So be prepared to wait up to a month for your items to arrive. Most orders are also shipped with tracking so you can check everyday to see if it's any closer to you. When your box arrives, Muscara is very careful to pack your items with the upmost care. I don't worry about my items getting damaged in the mail when I order from them. Note: most packages they do ship, come with tracking. But I've never seen it scan through any place but in the country of Hungary. Rest assured that your package will be delivered. I just think this tracking system doesn't work very well. 

4. Problems with your order
I did have one tiny problem with my order, and contacted them promptly upon arrival. They sent me a sincere apology and offered to fix the problem free of charge! This is a professional business, folks, and they take care of their customers. 

Pros: Excellent communication, Next day shipping, Careful packaging
Cons: NONE! 

Overview - I would definitely recommend Muscara for your Italian toy needs. They strive to please you, and their communication is amazing. Depending where you live, shipping time can take up to a month to arrive, but I promise you it will be worth the wait. 

Also....how can you pass up the awesome Italian toys?

In reguards to the VBE/Serasell recent drama…
(please ignore if you have no idea what I'm talking about)

I'll keep this short and sweet :).
I'm not changing my opinion on the subject, but I do want to say that I should't have went on like I did. It's true, we don't know what lengths or expenses VBE has to go through to get the new Italian toys, and I might have been out of line in saying double the retail price is too much. I'd like to apologize to the people it may have effected. That was not my intention at all. As most of you know, I'm a collector, I sell and I buy all the time. I won't say I'm the best at it, but I sure have been around the block in that sense ;) I love my communities I'm apart of on LJ, and the last thing I really want is to start a bunch of nonsense. That's not who I am, or what I do. And to VBE; Please don't let what one, or two people say, effect the innocent. If all you're angry with is me, then that's fine. Just be angry at me. Although I'm not angry at you. If you'd ever like to talk things out, I'm all for it. I want you to be able to sell your items at a reasonable price, and still make a commission, to us who cannot make it to Italy. And feel free to ask for help or advice on selling from those who been there! Please don't think you are alone in all this and get eBay for backup help (for a price). I had two awesome purchases from you in the past, and I hope we can work past things. :)

Phew, I feel better with that off my chest. Here's to a new day with new Sailor Moon toys to collect. ;P
